Medical Diaspora payments

What is this about?

If you ave a family member or loved one in Zimbabwe in need of medication but do not have money, you can pay from anywhere in the world such that he/she can collect in one of our pharmacies in Zimbabwe or we arrange delivery.

Funeral Covers

Waiting period
  • 3 months waiting period for main member, spouse and dependants due to natural causes
  • 6 (six) month waiting period for claims due to natural causes for extended family members less than age 70 years,
  • 24 months for suicide
How do i make payment

Debit order or an easypay number is provided to you when you register for a policy. Use that easypay number to pay in Shoprite, Boxer, PnP, Per or Checkers.

How many people can i cover?
Individual Cover
  • This is for a single member who falls within the age range EG 18-65
  • Spouse- No spouse can be added
  • Extended-Can add up to nine extended members whom there is an insurable interest . EG an individual member can add his parents ,siblings, aunts etc as long as they do not exceed 9.Every extended member there is an additional premium payable which is different from the main member premium and can take up a different cover amount from the main cover
Single Parent Plan
  • One main member and six  children dependants who are 21 years and below.
  • Spouse- No spouse can be added
  • Extended- Can add up to nine extended members whom there is an insurable interest . Family Plan Cover
  • This covers the main member, one spouse and  six  children dependants who are 21 years and below.
  • Spouse- Only one spouse can be added
  • Extended-Can add up to nine extended members whom there is an insurable interest . EG an individual member can add his parents ,siblings, aunts etc as long as they do not exceed 9.Every extended member there is an additional premium payable which is different from the main member premium and can take up a different cover amount from the main cover.
Extended members
  • These are family members who are dependent on the main member. The cover is not a stand alone it has to fall under the main cover which can be individual, Single parent plan or family Plan. Up to nine extended members can be covered.
Traditional 1 plus 5
  • This covers one main member and 5 additional extendeds or dependants members and there is only one premium paid.
Traditional 1 plus 9
  • This covers one main member and 9 extendeds or dependants members and there is only one premium paid.
Document needed at claim stage
  • Fully completed Claim Notification Form.
  • Confirmation of death from Police or hospital or
  • (BI-5) Original computer produced or faxed certified Death Certificate/ burial order;
  • (BI-18) Original or faxed certified copy of unabridged Death Certificate/Burial Order; or
  • (Bl – 20) Original or faxed certified copy of Abridged Death Certificate/ Burial Order in respect of stillborn, together with supporting medical documents;
  • (BI-1663) A copy of the Notification of death Certified copy of Principal Member’s Identity Document/Passport
  • Certified copy of deceased’s Identity Document Copy /passport/ birth certificate and certified copy Principal member’s ID
  • In the event of a claim for a full-time student, a letter confirming full-time study from a recognized educational institution, together with the last academic report, must be submitted
  • For a disabled child, confirmation of the Disability Grant, copy of Medical Application of the Principal Member or Medical Report must be submitted.
What happens if i miss a payment?

A one-month grace period is allowed to pay any premium once the policy is in force (i.e. first premium has been received). If the premium is not paid within that month, please notify iEnsure Brokers (PTY)LTD immediately to make arrangements.

How long does it take for a claim to be processed?

We endeavour to settle the claim within 48 hours, provided all the claim procedure criteria have been met and all the required documents provided.
